The View From My Window
I have lived in this house for 18 years now and enjoyed the panoramic view over the Rocky Mountain Front Range, Pikes Peak, the city lights and the prairie and created only very few paintings showing the view from my windows. This changed December, 2008. My studio was cold and I had no desire to go and work in it. As I stood by the window in my sun-warmed dining room seeing Pikes Peak in snowcapped glory I had an epiphany moment. “Why am I not painting what I see every day – why am I not painting my wondrous everyday world?” I started the series of paintings “The View From My Window” the next day. Here are my first ones. (One was sold before I took a picture). More will come
